In Memory ofĀ  Dan Abitol

Daniel Solomon Abitol ā€¢ דניא-ל שלמה בן מ×Øדכי ופ×Øל אה×Ŗ×Ø

Dad. Husband. Son. Brother. Friend. Visionary.

Dan

Dan Abitol had a heart of gold. His care for others knew no bounds. Dan’s smile and deep laugh won people over in heartbeat. His demeanor was one of kindness and empathy.

His love for his daughter Ava is what led Dan to Friendship Circle and ZABS Place. He became activeĀ in creating a communityĀ dedicated to helping individuals with special needs harness their special talents and foster genuineĀ friendships. He believed that it’s our responsibility to ensure that a bright future, with a meaningful job, awaits every individual.

It is heartbreaking to accept that he is not with us in a physical sense. Yet, his life lives on through his kindness and through the actions of his family and friends who follow his lead and continue the good deeds he started.

TheĀ Dan Abitol Memorial Fund has been established to perpetuate his dreams for both Friendship CircleĀ andĀ ZABS Place.

The Dan Abitol Memorial Fund supports:

ZABS Place logo

A local organization dedicated to providing meaningful inclusive social opportunities for children and teens with special needs. By introducing these Special Friends to their typically developing peers, genuine friendships are formed and both gain.

ZABS Place logo

A thrift boutique that recognizes the abilities and talents of localĀ young adults with special needs and creates individualizedĀ training and employment opportunities to help prepare them for successful entry into the workforce based on their passions.

Dear Abitol Family, My sincere sympathy on the loss of Dan. I admired him and Mike Crippen from afar at many business events, always at the top of their game. When we became a part of the SOLID team, I learned first hand, why they were at the top.... very much a result of the dedication and hard work of Dan.
He made a huge impact and will be sorely missed.

In tribute to our dear friend, Dan Abitol, a man with a true heart of gold, whose sharing and caring will live on in our fondest memories.

May Ava carry the mantle of her father's legacy for a lifetime to come.

And may his bride Hasnaa know that, thanks to her, Dan's final chapter in his all too short biography was by far the happiest.

God Bless!
